“My Mother Inspired My Musical Career” – Kofi Kinaata
Martin King Arthur, also known as Kofi Kinaata, the award-winning Ghanaian Highlife artiste, has disclosed the source of his musical inspiration, claiming that his mother educated him.
According to the singer, he was a natural vocalist as a child, as well as a natural football player, and it was his mother's ambition for him to become either a musician or a footballer.
In an interview with Joy Entertainment, the “Confession” hitmaker said that his mother advised him when he was 6 or 7 years old to choose between being a musician or a footballer.
“I'm very happy because my mother told me when I was six or seven years old that she wanted me to sing or play football because I was a great football player, and now I'm singing,” he said.
To refresh your memory, Kofi Kinaata is regarded as one of the most prolific singers in modern highlife music. He is known for his Fante rap and freestyle, earning him the moniker “Fante rap God.”
