“Nigerians Treat Ghanaian Artiste Like Some Regular People” – Yaw Tog
Thorsten Owusu Gyimah, also known as Yaw Tog, the sensational Ghanaian rapper, and composer, has disclosed how he was treated during the 2021 AFRIMMA Awards in Nigeria.
The ‘Sore' hitmaker described Nigerians as antagonistic, claiming that he, Kofi Jamar, and Gyakie were not recognized as celebrities in the country.
“Nigerians do not consider Ghanaian artists as their primary artists; instead, they treat you like a regular person.” “You can't be treated like Davido or Burna Boy there,” he told Kojo Manuel of Y 107.9 FM's “Dryve of Your Lyfe” show.
The rapper went on to say that he was treated differently in Ghana than he was in Nigeria at gatherings.
“They treated us differently when we were there; everything was normal compared to Ghana, where I would have gotten special care.” “It was difficult there,” he continued.
Yaw Tog is presently on a media tour to promote his new single “Azul,” which includes Bad Boy Timz from Nigeria.
