“Ghanaian Musicians Are Not Serious About Marketing Their Songs” – Mr. Logic Says

Emmanuel Barnes, well known in Showbiz as Mr. Logic, the Ghanaian entertainment critic and President of the Songwriters Association of Ghana, has lambasted Ghanaian singers for their inability to sell their songs.

He expressed his disgust with the industry music players during a conversation on DaybreakHitz’s Showbiz Review section, saying that some of these artists expect to be handed everything on a silver platter.

According to Mr. Logic, Ghanaian artists, like other artists in Nigeria and other foreign countries, lack tactics for promoting their songs in other countries.

“Playlisting and chart listing are terms used to describe how music is organized. The music industry’s marketing professionals are expected to aid in the promotion of the tunes. However, they must be compensated in order to do so,” he remarked.

He blamed the Ghanaian music industry for their individual troubles as musicians. He alluded to Shatta Wale’s prior remark that the music industry lacked cash, a problem that contributes to the failure to promote songs.
