I Wanted To Be An Architect When I Was Growing – Joe Mettle
Gospel musician Joe Mettle said in an interview with JoyPrime that his boyhood dream was to become an architect rather than a musician.
He admitted that although he had always been aware of his inherent ability for music, his ultimate goal was to pursue a career in architecture.
“I genuinely wanted to become an architect rather than a musician.” “But I'm aware that, in the back of my mind, I've always known that, for some reason, I'll sing or play music, and I've also known that I'll continue to work as an architect,” he said.
According to Joe Mettle, he actually began pursuing his architectural passion but subsequently gave it up since it took up the majority of his time and hindered him from concentrating on his ministry.
In order to have more time to devote to his music and ministry, he finally made the decision to pursue his second passion—marketing—at the university.
“And so I truly began. I once drew blueprints for buildings. I engaged in that for a while. It was such simple architecture that I went to MODESCO for a time to study it because I thought I would be able to continue my education at Tech or another university, but that didn't end up happening.
