“I Don’t Want To Be A Celebrity In Ghana Again” – DKB

Derrick Kwabena Bonney, popularly known as ‘DKB,' a popular Ghanaian comedian, has declared that he no longer wishes to be referred to as a celebrity.

This follows the arrests of three celebrities in a short period of time: Shatta Wale, Funny Face, and AMG Medikal.

DKB claims that the celebrity tag in Ghana carries a negative connotation and that he wants to distance himself from it.

The comedian aspires to be known as a common Ghanaian with no clout or celebrity.

“I don't want to be a celebrity in Ghana again!” he said in a tweet.

Shatta Wale and three others have been placed in custody for disseminating false information. The four suspects were detained for a week after their initial court appearance on October 21, 2021.

On Thursday night, rapper Medikal was also detained for displaying a pistol in a video on social media.
