“Growing Up I Wanted To Be A Great Footballer Just Like Abedi Pele” – Sonnie Badu

Sonnie Bad has spoken about the exciting days in his life when he was an active player and hoped to be like Ghana’s football master, Abedi Ayew Pele.

According to the Preacher, he had the ambition to become a professional football player, but his dream was shattered when he suffered a catastrophic injury.

He said in an interview with Kwaku Manu on his Aggressive Show that when he was younger and dreaming of being a great player, he used to play like Abedi Ayew.

As a kid, I wanted to be a great football player. I did a fantastic job. I used to look up to Abedi Pele as my role model. He was one of the best athletes on the planet. People used to tell me how much I resembled him while I was playing. Sonnie explained, “Like him, I’m left-handed and left-footed.”

Fate had its own plan when the accident he incurred prompted him to begin singing, as he recalls, and he only discovered his affinity for singing after his injury ended his football goals.

“I believe it was a divine act.” He was the one who pointed me in this direction. Nobody knows what might have occurred if I had continued to play football. Even if I had been alive, I would have been dead, “he concluded.
