In the face of criticism recently leveled at Afua Asantewaa’s vocal quality, award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician Sonnie Badu has defended the singer, who is attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by singing nonstop for four days.
While Afua Asantewaa has received a great deal of praise and support for her attempt to break the Guinness World Record, some people have criticized her for trying to enter the book of records as the woman who has participated in the longest singing marathon.
Sonnie Badu gave an explanation of Afua Asantewaa’s decision to sing during her marathon, citing the singer’s strategic plan to set herself apart.
