, the award-winning Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall singer from Wa, is considering releasing his next tune in Ewe to cement his ties with the Volta Region's populace.

The Linda hitmaker who has seven studio albums to his credit, including Dankwansere, , Dagaati, and Breaking News, stated he would want to serve the people of the region, of whom he is now a “Prince” with a song written in their language, Ewe.

Speaking to the GNA Entertainment on the occasion of Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, Dufia of Whuti, Paramount Chief of Kome-Shime and Miafiaga of Anlo's outdooring at Whuti in the Anloga District, he said performing a Ewe song will be to honor his “father” Togbi Tamekloe and as proof of his connection to the Anlo chief.

While the enskinned ‘Pebilii Naa,' which means ‘King of the Rock' in Wa, said citizens in the Volta Region should anticipate a track in Ewe from him, he cautioned them not to expect much in terms of language expertise from him.

Samini, who sat through the ceremony and afterward sang “a tip of the iceberg” of his “My Own,” one of Togbi's favorite songs, said his involvement in the historic event was just to show how important the Anlo Chief is to him.

He added that his connection with Togbi Tamakloe was like “a father and son relationship,” and that he was starting to think of himself as a Prince of the region, with intentions to return for larger musical performances in the future.

“Togbi is a father figure to me.” You could see it there in the way I was speaking Ewe. It speaks something about Togbi's mentorship that a Dagaati guy like myself can speak Ewe so well.

“Because my father is the Chief here, I may call myself a Prince. I'll speak with him to see if we can organize musical performances and, as a result, promote some young talent from here. And, as the region's Prince, I'll consider singing a song in Ewe to demonstrate my ties to the people. I will, however, beg everyone to refrain from criticizing my Ewe.”
