“Dangote Drove Me Home From The Hospital When I Was Born” – Davido Reveals
In an interview, popular Nigerian musician Davido revealed the nature of his friendship and connection with Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote.
The FEM hitmaker, whose father is a friend of billionaire Alinko Dangote, says the businessman has always been a family in an interview with the Earn Your Leisure podcast. He revealed what Dangote constantly tells him whenever they get a chance to speak.
“When I was born, Dangote drove me home from the hospital. “Every time I meet Uncle Aliko, he instructs me to save my money,” he explained.
“It's all love, shout out to this new generation, I hope they don't repeat the errors we did,” the DMW leader stated when asked how he is supporting younger musicians. Because of my past, I was not accepted into the industry. I felt compelled to prove to them that I am capable in this area. I have a lot of friends in the sector, and I believe that working together will make us stronger.
These fresh artists deserve a shout-out; they're killing it. They are forward-thinking. They are highly brilliant young artists emerging from this nation. They all come here, and we hang out. “I offer my two cents.”
