Kelvin Brown, popularly known as Kelvyn Boy, the Ghanaian Afrobeat artist, has been remanded in police prison by an Adentan Circuit Court for allegedly attacking a lady by stomping her ribs and hitting her back and right hand with an iron rod many times, according to Atinka news.

Brown, who was charged with assault, pleaded not guilty.

's bail application will be heard on Wednesday, February 23, in a court presided over by Mrs. Sedinam Awo Balokah.

According to prosecuting Chief Superintendent of Police Patience Mario, the complainant was a merchant.

According to Chief Supt. Mario, the complainant and the accused had been married for more than ten years and had two kids.

According to the prosecution, “the relationship has been full of abuse.”

The accused and the complainant used to live together, but the accused packed his belongings and moved out.

It claimed that one of their children became ill and required medical treatment, prompting the complaint to visit the savings and loan firm where they had stored money, only to be told that the account was empty.

According to the prosecution, the complainant attempted to contact the accused by phone to corroborate the facts and notify him that his sick daughter needed to be sent to the hospital for medical treatment.

Fortunately, she observed the accused's vehicle moving by and followed it, later discovering that it was driven by a lady, according to the prosecution.

According to the complaint, the complainant contacted the woman to inquire about the whereabouts of the accused, and the lady summoned the accused, who reportedly assaulted the complainant, pushed her down, and stamped on her ribs.

The accused reportedly pulled the complainant out of the home and repeatedly struck her back and right hand with an iron rod until she was saved by a motorbike rider who drove her there, according to the prosecution.

A few minutes later, a worker at the complainant's store, Kelvin, called to tell her that the accused had reportedly gone to the shop and taken her speaker, a Nasco 32-inch TV set, and two chairs worth GHC5,500.
